The 32 oz travel mug has a handle, a snap lid and a straw, and fits most cup holders.
All day: 40 oz
The 40 oz travel mug holds enough water for the day and narrows to a 2 3/4" base that fits most cup holders. Also in two-tone colors and leatherette.
The lids, explained
Each mug comes with its own lid, and most can take another when you design them. The price each is with the lid it comes with.
Slider lid
A clear lid with a slide that closes over the sip hole, so a drink stays put in the car or on the desk.
Comes with the 15 oz insulated coffee mug and 20 oz travel mug.
Swap it on when you design: +$2.70 each on the 32 oz travel mug, 40 oz travel mug, 40 oz two-tone travel mug and 40 oz leatherette travel mug.
Snap flip-top lid
A flip-top that snaps shut over the opening, for a cup that rides in a bag or a car.
Swap it on when you design: +$4.50 each on the 15 oz insulated coffee mug; +$5.00 each on the 40 oz two-tone travel mug and 40 oz leatherette travel mug.
Magnetic slider lid
A slider held open or closed by a magnet, so it slides with one thumb and stays where you put it.
Swap it on when you design: +$7.50 each on the 15 oz insulated coffee mug, 40 oz travel mug, 40 oz two-tone travel mug and 40 oz leatherette travel mug.
Snap lid with straw
The snap lid with a reusable straw that the 32 and 40 oz travel mugs come with.

How the engraving looks
Laser engraving is one color: the mug itself, showing through. There is no ink to wear off.
Powder coated colors
The laser takes off the colored coating and the bright steel underneath shows through. There is no ink, so the engraving can't chip or wash off.
Bare stainless steel
On the plain stainless cups the engraving comes out black, a crisp, dark mark on the brushed steel.
Two-tone colors
The two-tone colors engrave to the metal under the color: bright gold, rose gold, a rainbow prism or ghost black, depending on the cup.
Leatherette wraps
On a leatherette wrap the laser leaves a darker, slightly debossed mark in the wrap's own tone, like engraved leather.

Does a 40 oz travel mug fit in a cup holder?
Yes: the 40 oz travel mug narrows to a 2 3/4" base, which fits most cup holders. The 20 and 32 oz travel mugs fit most cup holders too.
Do the travel mugs come with a straw?
The 32 oz and 40 oz travel mugs come with a straw lid. The 15 oz coffee mug and the 20 oz travel mug come with a slider lid.
Can I change the lid?
Yes, on most mugs: each mug's page lists the lids it takes. Pick one when you design it, and the price shows before you choose it.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes: 12 of a color, and the price of each drops as you order more. Each color counts on its own, so 12 black and 12 navy are two orders of 12, each at the 12 price.
How long does engraving take?
Your order is ready 8 business days after you approve the proof. Need them sooner? Choose rush in the designer, or call us at 845-202-7600 and we'll tell you what's possible.
Are the travel mugs dishwasher safe?
Polar Camel doesn't list its mugs as dishwasher safe, so we suggest washing them by hand with warm, soapy water. The engraving won't wash off.
What are the two-tone mugs?
The two-tone 40 oz travel mugs have a colored finish over a metallic layer, and the engraving shows in the metal: ghost black, rose gold or prism.
Can you engrave a different name on each cup?
Yes, by quote. A different name on each cup, a second side or a full wrap is priced by hand: send us the list with a quote request below and we'll send a price and a proof of every name.
Can I pick up my order?
Yes, free, at our shop at 10 Corporate Park Drive, Suite D in Hopewell Junction, Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 12:30pm to 4:30pm. Or we ship it anywhere in the US.
