What it's for

A metal business card is the one people keep. It is printed in full color with a glossy finish on a white-coated aluminum card, so it has the cool, solid feel of metal in the hand and none of the flex of paper: it does not bend, crease or tear in a wallet, and it is heavy enough that people notice the moment you hand it over. The card, the metal and the printing

Metal business cards are 3.5 by 2 inches, horizontal or vertical, on white-coated aluminum in two thicknesses: 0.04 inch, our standard and the classic metal card, about three times as thick as a standard 14 pt paper card, or 0.025 inch, thinner and lighter but still unmistakably metal. Every card has soft 1/8 inch rounded corners and a glossy finish. They are printed in full color on the front, or on the front and back; the aluminum is white-coated on both sides, so the back of a card printed on the front only is clean white, never bare metal. They are sold in sets of 55 cards. Design yours online: the designer shows your card with its rounded corners as you work.

Why metal

Paper cards get bent, written on and thrown away. A metal card stays flat and bright in a wallet, a glovebox or a desk drawer, and its weight says you invested in it. People show it to the person next to them, and that second look is the point.

Which thickness to choose

Choose 0.04 inch for the full metal feel: rigid, solid and satisfying to hold. Choose 0.025 inch for a slimmer card that is lighter in a wallet and costs less, with the same full color printing and rounded corners. Both are white-coated aluminum.

Designing a metal card

The white coating means your colors print bright and true, just as they look in the designer, with a glossy finish. Keep your words and logo 1/8 inch inside the edge, and run any background color 1/8 inch past the edge so it reaches all the way to the trim. The designer draws both lines for you, with the rounded corners. Bold names, a logo and a QR code all look great on metal; start from one of our business card templates or upload your own file.

Metal cards come in sets of 55, and you can order any number of sets. The price includes shipping, so they ship free anywhere in the US, or pick them up free at our Hopewell Junction shop. Order 9 sets or more and each set costs less, made in the same time. Metal cards are not available on rush; the designer gives the date they are ready.

Design it online: start from one of our templates or your own logo, or upload a print-ready file in the designer, and see the price for every quantity as you go. The price is for the whole order, from 1 set, with shipping built in. We check every file and send a proof within 1 business day, and nothing is made until you approve it. It is ready to pick up or ships 2 business days after you approve the proof. Shipping is free anywhere in the US, or pick it up free at our Hopewell Junction shop.
