How an engraving order works
Tumblers, pens, name tags and plates are designed online: you see your logo or wording on the item, and the price, before you order. For awards and anything else, tell us what you need and we'll quote it.

What a laser can engrave
Engraving is one color: the material itself, showing through. There's no ink to wear off.
Powder-coated steel
Tumblers: the laser takes off the colored coating, and the steel underneath shows through.
Anodized aluminum
Pens and brushed metal name tags, where the engraving shows as bright metal.
Engraving plastic
Two-layer name tags: the top color is engraved away to show the color underneath.
Wood, acrylic and crystal
Plaques, desk plates and awards, with names, dates and logos engraved on the plate or the piece.

What can you laser engrave?
Tumblers, pens, plastic and metal name tags, desk and door plates, wood plaques, acrylic and crystal awards, and corporate gifts. Not sure about your item? Ask us.
Is there a minimum order?
Name tags, desk plates and door signs start at one. Engraved tumblers start at 12 and pens at 50, and the price per piece drops as you order more.
How long does engraving take?
Name tags are ready in 2 to 3 business days after you approve the proof. Tumblers take about 8 business days, pens 7 business days, and plaques and desk plates 7 to 10 business days. Many items have a rush option for an added charge, shown before you order.
Can I see it before you engrave it?
Yes. Our online designers show your logo or wording on the tumbler, pen, name tag or plate as you design, and you approve a proof before anything is engraved.
Can you engrave both sides, or a different name on each?
Pens can be engraved on both sides for $0.20 more a pen. A second side on a tumbler, a full wrap or a different name on each cup is quoted. For a name tag for everyone on your team, use our bulk name tag order.
What file do I need for a logo?
A vector file (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) engraves the crispest. A clear PNG or JPG works too, and if it has to be redrawn, there can be a charge, which we'll tell you about before you approve anything.
Does laser engraving wear off?
There's no ink involved: the laser removes the surface, so the mark is part of the item. On our tumblers it takes off the powder coat to show the steel, so the engraving can't chip off.
