How perforated window film works
Perforated film is printed on a vinyl full of tiny holes. From the street you see the graphic; from inside, you see out.
- By day, the bright side outside shows the graphic, and people inside look out through the holes.
- At night, with the lights on inside, it works the other way: people outside can see in more easily.
- Rain can sit in the holes and blur the view out until it dries.
- Best for large windows and glass doors that face the sun; for small lettering, cut vinyl reads better.
What to measure, and the photos to send
A few measurements and photos make the quote and the proof right the first time:
- The glass, not the frame: width and height of each window or door you want done, in inches.
- A straight-on photo of each window from outside, and one from inside if the film faces in.
- The wording: hours, phone, website and anything else, exactly as you would like it.
- Your logo, as a vector file (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) if you have one; a clear photo works too.
- Inside or outside the glass: tell us, or ask us and we will suggest which fits your window.

Every window is different, so window work is quoted on your measurements. How each is priced, and how long it takes after you approve the proof:

What moves the price: the size of the glass, how much lettering, one color or full color, and the film. We don't install: your window graphics come ready to apply.
What belongs on a store hours decal
The door is the one sign every customer reads. A good hours decal answers what they want to know before they pull the handle:
- Your hours, a day to a line, with any day you are closed.
- A phone number and website, for when you are closed.
- The payments you take, and anything else people ask at the counter.
- Your logo or name, so the door looks like it belongs to you.

How much does window lettering cost?
Cut vinyl lettering is quoted by letter height and length, and window graphics on the size of your glass. Send a photo and the size of the glass and we will price yours.
Inside or outside the glass?
Lettering read from the street often goes outside; graphics on the inside are protected from weather and scrapers and are printed to read through the glass. Tell us about your window and we will suggest which fits.
Can you see out through perforated film?
Yes, by day. The tiny holes let people inside see out while the street sees the graphic. At night, with the lights on inside, it works the other way.
Is frosted film removable?
Yes. Frosted film is an adhesive vinyl, so it can come off later with a little heat and patience. For something you change often, a static cling comes off clean with no adhesive at all.
Do you install?
No. We make it ready to apply; many customers put it up themselves or use their own installer.
Can you letter a wall too?
Yes. The same cut vinyl lettering goes on walls inside: a welcome, a mission or your logo behind the counter.
