Embroidery is priced by the stitch, so you pay for the size of your logo, not a flat guess. The designer shows your full price per garment, the garment included, before you order.
How the stitch estimate works. Until your logo is digitized, its stitch count is an estimate. You pay on the estimate plus 15%, and if the digitized count comes in lower, we refund the difference. You're never charged more than you paid.

Most embroidery orders are ready about 10 business days after you approve the proof. Need it sooner? Rush can have many orders ready in 3 to 5 business days. Tell us your date, and we'll tell you what's possible.

- 2Send your logoUpload it in the designer or with your quote request. A vector file (AI, EPS or PDF) is best, and a clear PNG or JPG works too. Our artwork guide explains why.
- 3Approve your proofYour logo is digitized into a stitch file, and you see a proof with its size and placement. Nothing is stitched until you approve it.
- 4Pick it up, or we ship itPick up free at our Hopewell Junction shop, or have it shipped anywhere in the US.

Left or right chest
Up to 4 by 4 inches. The left chest is the usual spot for a logo, and the right chest for a name.
Center chest
On hoodies and sweatshirts, up to 5 by 4 inches.
Cap fronts
Up to 4.5 by 2.25 inches on the front of a structured cap.
Sleeves and backs
A small logo down a sleeve, or a larger one across the back of a jacket.
Designs across the full front of a shirt are printed rather than stitched. See screen printing and full-color printing.
The same logo on lots of garments? Ask about patches
An embroidered patch can cost less than stitching every garment when the same logo goes on several, and it's quoted to your size and shape.

How much does custom embroidery cost?
Each logo is $1 per 1,000 stitches, with a minimum of $8 a logo on each garment, plus the garment. A new logo is digitized once for $35, and names are $8 for one line. The designer shows your full price per garment before you order.
Is there a minimum order for embroidery?
It depends on the style. Many styles can be embroidered from a single piece, and some need 6 or more; the designer or your quote will tell you. Screen printing, by comparison, starts at 12 pieces.
What is digitizing, and why is there a fee?
Before a logo can be stitched, it's turned into a stitch file that tells the machine where every stitch goes. That's done once per logo, for a one-time fee of $35, and we keep the file, so reorders don't pay it again. Names are lettered in a stitch font and need no digitizing.
How long does embroidery take?
Most orders are ready about 10 business days after you approve the proof. Rush can have many orders ready in 3 to 5 business days, for 25% more. Pickup at our shop is free, or we ship it.
What kind of logo file do you need?
A vector file (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) is best, because it stays sharp at any size. A clear PNG or JPG works too. If your art has to be redrawn before it can be digitized, there can be a charge, and we'll tell you before you approve anything.
Can you add each person's name?
Yes. Names are stitched on the chest opposite your logo, at $8 for one line, $9 for two lines and $10 for three, on each garment. Add them in the designer, or send us a list.
Can you match our logo's colors?
We pick the thread colors closest to your logo, and your proof shows how it will look, so you can ask for a change before anything is stitched.
Can you embroider small text and fine detail?
Thread has a width, so very small text and hairline details don't stitch well. If your logo has lettering smaller than about a quarter inch, we'll usually suggest simplifying it, and show you on the proof first.
Can we stop by and talk it through?
