What it's for

Senior night is the last home game for the players who are graduating, and a banner with each senior's photo, name and number is how the team and the families say thank you. Booster clubs, coaches and parents hang one for every senior along the fence, on the gym wall or behind the bench, and the families take them home afterward. We check every name, number and photo with you on the proof before anything prints.

Sizes, vinyl and hanging

Senior banners are printed in full color on 13 oz vinyl, or heavier 15 oz vinyl, in 2 by 3, 2 by 4, 3 by 5 or 3 by 6 feet. Every banner is hemmed, with grommets in the corners and along the edges for zip ties or bungee cords. Other sizes, pole pockets and wind slits are options in the designer. One banner for every senior

Most teams use one design for the whole senior class and change the name, number and photo on each. A 2 by 3 or 2 by 4 foot banner fits a fence panel or a gym wall and reads from the stands; 3 by 5 and 3 by 6 feet suit a stadium fence or a big gym. Keep the words to SENIOR NIGHT, the player's name, number and sport, the class year and the school, and let the photo do the rest. Every banner can be a different sport and color, so one night can honor soccer, football and volleyball seniors together.

Ordering for the whole team

Each senior's banner is its own design, so a team order is one line in the cart for each player: design the first, then change the name, number and photo for the next. For a big roster, send us the list with each player's name, number and photo, and we will set up every banner and show you each one on the proof.

Photos that print sharply

Use the original photo from the team photographer, or the full-size picture from a phone, not a screenshot or a picture saved from social media. A banner is read from a distance, so a photo needs about 100 pixels for every inch it prints: about 2,400 pixels tall for a photo that runs the full height of a 2 foot banner. The designer warns you when a photo is too small to print sharply, and we check it again before printing.

When to order for each season

Fall sports usually hold senior night in September and October, winter sports in January and February, and spring sports in April and May. Order once the roster and the photos are in: the designer shows the date your banners will be ready before you check out, counted from the day you approve the proof, and banners have a rush option for an added charge when senior night is close.

Hanging on a fence or a wall

On a chain-link fence, tie each corner grommet with a zip tie or a bungee cord, and the middle grommets on a longer banner so it does not flap. In a windy spot, add wind slits in the designer. For a gym wall, check the school's rules first. After the game, roll the banner with the print facing out and give it to the family.
