Custom Event Tents

What it's for

A printed canopy marks your spot at a farmers market, a street fair, a tournament or an outdoor sale, and keeps the sun and the rain off your table. It works just as well on a sideline. Materials and options

Three sizes: 10 by 10, 10 by 15 and 10 by 20 feet. The canopy is 6 oz weatherproof tent fabric, printed in full color by dye sublimation, on a heavy-duty aluminum hex frame with a carry bag. Already have a frame? Order the printed canopy on its own.

All four sides, one design or four

Each side of the canopy is one printed panel: the sloped roof, and below it the valance that hangs down around the frame. All four sides are printed. In the tent designer, design the front and use it on every side, or give the back and the two ends their own designs. On a 10 by 15 or 10 by 20 tent the front and back are the long sides, and a design shared with the 10 foot ends is fitted to them.

Getting your artwork right

Each side is printed 2 inches bigger all round than it finishes, and that extra is sewn under or trimmed off, so let your background color or photo run all the way out to the outer line. Keep words and logos inside the finished edge (the blue line in the designer): anything past it can be cut off. Sending your own file? Make one PDF or JPG for each side, at the full size with the 2 inches extra, in CMYK at 150 dpi, with the text turned into outlines. We check every file and send you a proof before anything is made.

Setting it up

Two people make it easy. Take the frame out of its bag, and mind the folding joints: they can pinch. Stand across from each other, lift at the middle of the frame and step back until it is about 5 feet wide. Lay the printed canopy over the top, line its corners up with the frame's corners and fasten them with the hook and loop straps. Each take a leg and step back to open the frame to its full size, until the slider on each leg clicks into place. To raise it, step on a foot and pull up on the frame until the leg locks; do the same on each leg. For more height, press the red button on the leg and pull it up again: there are four heights. To take it down, press the red buttons and the sliders and work back the other way.
