A card that is easy to read
The templates follow the sizes a card is actually read at: your name at 11 to 14 points, the largest thing after a logo; your title and any license line at 7.5 to 9 points; phone, email and web address at 8 to 9. Nothing important sits closer than a quarter inch to the edge, and backgrounds run an eighth of an inch past it so the cut leaves no white sliver.
Front and back
Most templates come with a matching back: your logo large, a tagline, a QR code, a list of services, or lines for the next appointment. A two-sided card costs only a little more than a one-sided one, and the back is where a card earns a second look. A QR code on a card should be about three quarters of an inch square or larger, with its quiet border kept clear.
Paper and finishes
- 14 point card, coated both sides, in full color: the standard.
- Horizontal (3.5" × 2") or vertical (2" × 3.5").
- Specialty cards: pearl, kraft, painted edge, soft touch, waterproof, ultra smooth, rounded corners, and die-cut ovals and leaves, each on our specialty printing page.
- Metal cards: these templates also open on metal business cards, printed in full color on white-coated aluminum with rounded corners.
Cards are printed in the business days the designer shows for your paper and quantity, counted from when you approve the proof, and the designer gives one date: the day they are ready to pick up free in Hopewell Junction or ship straight to you. In a hurry? Rush printing prints most cards the next business day, with no separate proof: the card on your screen is what prints.
