The order people read it
A reader sees the front cover first, then opens it to the inside flap and the inside left panel, then opens it fully to the three inside panels, and turns it over to the back last. So the templates put your name and one promise on the cover, the offer or "why us" on the flap, the services and the story inside, and the contact block, map and hours on the back.
The panels
- The sheet folds into three panels; the one that tucks inside is a little narrower so it folds flat. An 8.5" × 11" sheet folds to 3.67" × 8.5", an 8.5" × 14" to 4.67" × 8.5", a 9" × 12" to 4" × 9" (it fits a #10 envelope) and an 11" × 17" to 5.67" × 11".
- Words stay a quarter inch from the edges and about the same from each fold.
- Photos and color can run past the edge and are trimmed clean.
Ordering
Brochures start at 50, printed on both sides of 100 lb gloss text in full color and folded. They are printed in 4 to 5 business days after you approve the proof, and the designer gives one date: the day they are ready to pick up free in Hopewell Junction or ship to you.
