Made for a narrow page
A bookmark is 2 inches wide, so most designs stack their words down the middle: a picture, one or two big words, and a few short lines. Others turn the words up a colored column, set type in a bold stack, or divide the strip into color blocks. Every one is laid out for the 2" × 7" bookmark.
The back does the second job
- Libraries: a reading log, a week of days, bubbles to color for every 20 minutes read, or the season's book club picks to write in.
- Schools: the reading goal, a book fair wish list, the PTA's dates for the year, or the times tables that trip kids up.
- Churches: the service times behind a verse, the week's ministries, prayer requests, or the Lord's Prayer.
- Authors and bookstores: a series to tick off, a QR code to order, the signing, or the store's hours and an offer.
- Businesses and museums: a loyalty card with ten rings to stamp, a checklist, the season's hours or a walking tour.
- In memory: a verse, and the day and place of the service.
Printing them
Bookmarks print in full color on 14 point card, on one side or both, from 100 of a design. They are printed in the business days the designer shows for your paper and quantity, counted from when you approve the proof, and the designer gives one date: the day they are ready to pick up free in Hopewell Junction or ship straight to you. Need them sooner? Rush printing prints most bookmarks the next business day, with no separate proof.
