The outside and the inside
A folded card is one sheet, scored down the middle. In the designer you see the sheet as it prints: the outside holds the front cover and the back of the card, the inside holds the two panels the card opens to. Choose a design and its inside comes with it, a message on one panel and a sign-off on the other. Keep it, change every word, or pick another inside on its own.
Sizes and folds
- 5" × 7": the standard greeting card, with room for a photo or a big greeting.
- A2, 4.25" × 5.5": the note card size, for thank yous and short messages.
- 5.5" × 8.5": a large card with room for a longer message or a team to sign.
- Side fold or top fold: a side fold stands tall and opens like a book; a top fold is laid wide and opens upward. Every template is laid out both ways.
Printing them
Cards print in full color on thick 14 point card, Glossy, Matte or Writable (its plain inside takes any pen), on the outside only or outside and inside, from 10 of a design on Matte or 25 on Glossy and Writable. They come flat and scored, so each one folds crisply by hand, with a plain white envelope for each card if you like. They are printed in the business days the designer shows, counted from when you approve your proof, and the designer gives one date: the day they are ready to pick up free in Hopewell Junction or ship to you.
