Classic team looks
The arched name over a mascot is the look people picture for a team shirt; varsity block letters read from the far side of the field; a stacked slogan suits a warm-up shirt. Keep to one or two ink colors in team colors, and the design prints cleanly on every shirt color the team picks.
Names and numbers
- Front: team name and mascot, up to 12 inches wide.
- Back: player name 2 to 3 inches tall and the number 8 to 10 inches.
- Sleeve: the league or a sponsor, about 3 inches.
The studio can add a name to each shirt from a list, so every player's shirt is right.
For the family in the stands
Team family shirts ("Hawks family", "Hawks mom") put the team on the parents and grandparents. Pro, college and league logos are trademarks, so the templates use generic mascot art; add your own team's logo if you have the rights to it.
From the shop: Get the roster in writing, with names spelled the way the players want them, before you open the studio. It saves a reprint.
