Spot UV Greeting Cards

What it's for

Spot UV greeting cards put a raised, clear gloss on the greeting, your logo or a pattern on a soft matte card, so the cover catches the light as it is opened. A tone on tone wreath, snowflakes or a monogram in spot UV makes a quiet, modern holiday or thank you card. For foil instead, see foil greeting cards.

Sizes, card and printing

Spot UV greeting cards come in A2 (4.25 by 5.5 folded), 5 by 7 and 5.5 by 8.5, on 14 pt card matte laminated, scored down the middle and delivered flat. Print the outside only, or the inside too. Spot UV goes on the outside, or on the outside and inside. Every card can come with its own plain white envelope, sized to fit. Order 50, 75, 100, 250, 500, 750 or 1,000 cards; they are printed in 5 business days once you approve your proof. Start designing yours from a holiday or thank you template.

What to mark

Bold shapes, a logo, a pattern or a large greeting show spot UV best; the colors under it print as you design them. Keep marked words at 10 point or larger and spot UV about 0.2 inch (5 mm) from the edges and the fold.

Holiday and thank you ideas

Snowflakes or a wreath in gloss over a deep green or navy cover, your logo raised in the middle of a white card, or a tone on tone pattern that only shows as the card catches the light. The inside can be left blank, or carry your message printed in full color.

Envelopes

Choose envelopes and each card comes with a plain white envelope sized to fit, or design printed envelopes to match.

Design it online: start from one of our templates or your own logo, or upload a print-ready file in the designer, and see the price for every quantity as you go. The price is for the whole order, from 50, and the more you order, the less each one costs. We check every file and send a proof within 1 business day, and nothing is made until you approve it. It is ready to pick up or ships 7 business days after you approve the proof. Pick it up free at our Hopewell Junction shop, or we ship it anywhere in the US.
