What it's for
Foil greeting cards are the holiday and thank you cards clients keep on the desk. Gold or silver metallic foil on your logo, the greeting or a pattern on the cover, the inside or both makes the card feel like a gift. Businesses send them for the holidays and the new year, and families for weddings, anniversaries and milestones. Sizes, card and printing
Foil greeting cards come in A2 (4.25 by 5.5 folded), 5 by 7 and 5.5 by 8.5, on 14 pt card matte laminated on the outside, scored down the middle and delivered flat to fold crisply by hand. Print the outside only, with a blank inside to write in, or the inside too. Gold or silver foil goes on the outside, or on the outside and inside. Each card can come with a plain white envelope. They are made in 50, 75, 100, 250, 500, 750 or 1,000 and printed in 5 business days after you approve your proof. Design yours online.
Holiday cards in foil
Gold foil on a navy, green or burgundy cover is the classic holiday card; silver on white or blue suits winter and the new year. To have cards in hand with time to sign and mail them, approve your proof by the first week of December.
Setting up your foil
Keep foil words at 8 point or larger, lines at least 0.75 point, and foil about 0.2 inch (5 mm) from the edges and from the fold down the middle, where foil would crack. Nothing prints under the foil. The designer keeps the fold in view and checks each foil mark for you.

Choose envelopes and each card comes with a plain white envelope sized to fit. Want your return address printed? Design printed envelopes to match.
How ordering works
Design it online: start from one of our templates or your own logo, or upload a print-ready file in the designer, and see the price for every quantity as you go. The price is for the whole order, from 50, and the more you order, the less each one costs. We check every file and send a proof within 1 business day, and nothing is made until you approve it. It is ready to pick up or ships 7 business days after you approve the proof. Pick it up free at our Hopewell Junction shop, or we ship it anywhere in the US.
Questions about foil greeting cards
Does more foil cost more?
No. Foil greeting cards are priced by the size, the quantity, the inside, the foil color and the envelopes, never by how much is foiled.
Can foil go inside the card?
Yes. Print the inside and choose Outside and inside under Foil on in the designer.
How long do foil greeting cards take?
They are printed in 5 business days after you approve your proof, then ready to pick up free at our Hopewell Junction shop or shipped to you. Foil is not available on rush.
Do they come folded?
They arrive flat and scored down the middle, so they fold crisply by hand in seconds and stack neatly for signing.
