Written for a glance down
A floor graphic is read from 5 to 10 feet away while walking, so each template carries one message in two to four words, with letters 2 to 4 inches tall on a 24 inch circle. Arrows are solid chevrons that read at a glance. On a route, place a graphic every 20 to 30 feet, and keep them clear of the spots where carts and dollies turn.
Materials
- Laminated, for smooth indoor floors: stores, offices, schools, clinics.
- Rugged and textured, for heavy traffic and rough or outdoor surfaces such as sidewalks and warehouse floors.
Both are finished with a slip-resistant laminate made for floors. Rounded corners resist lifting at the edges; the templates keep dark areas small, since large glossy dark patches show wear first.
Sizes and shapes
Circles of 12 to 24 inches for "stand here" and logo spots, rectangles for arrows and aisle markers, and die-cut shapes for a logo or a footprint. Any size up to 48 inches wide and 50 feet long.
