Three sizes, one layout
- 8.5" × 11": the letter sheet, for sell sheets, listing sheets and anything that goes in a folder or on a bulletin board.
- 5.5" × 8.5": the half sheet, for handouts, bag stuffers and a menu by the register.
- 11" × 17": the tabloid, a small poster for a shop window or a community board.
Each template is drawn on the letter sheet and fits the other two, standing tall or laid wide at the same price. They print in full color on 100 lb gloss text, on one side or both.
Pick a style, not only a subject
Bold posters, editorial pages set flush left in a serif, dark and gold pieces for an evening out, clean white pages with one accent, bright tiles for a school fair and a cream page in a double frame: choose the look that suits your crowd, then change the words.
What a good flyer does
One page, one job. The headline says what it is from across the room, the middle gives the two or three facts that decide it (the date and the place, the price, the pay), and the foot says what to do next: call, scan, visit. Give every event its date with the weekday.
The lines some flyers must carry
- Listing sheets: the brokerage in type, the agent's license type, and a label on any phone that is not the office's ("Cell"), as New York asks of real estate ads.
- Now hiring: a flyer for a specific job shows its pay or pay range when the employer has four or more employees; a general sign may drop the pay line.
- Campaigns: a "Paid for by" line with the committee's name.
- Sales and coupons: the date the offer ends, and what it leaves out.
Glossy flyers, or copies the same day
Glossy flyers start at 50 of a design. They are printed in the business days the designer shows for your size, paper and quantity, counted from when you approve the proof, and the designer gives one date: the day they are ready to pick up free in Hopewell Junction or ship straight to you. Rush printing prints most flyers the next business day, with no separate proof. For plain paper copies the same day, see our copy service; for three folded panels, the tri-fold brochure designer.
