Where styrene works at a party
Styrene is thin and flat, so it slips into a picture frame or a tabletop holder, tapes to a door or a wall, and comes off cleanly when the party ends. It is flexible, so it needs a frame or a wall behind it: for the big welcome on a floor easel, choose a foam board sign instead.
What to put on it
- Wedding: the couple's names, the date and a welcome; a second sign for cards and gifts, or the order of the evening.
- Baby shower: the parent's name and "welcome, baby".
- Birthday: the name and the number, large enough for photos.
- Graduation party: the graduate, the class year and the school.
A keepsake
A styrene sign wipes clean and lies flat in a drawer or an album sleeve, so the wedding welcome or the first birthday sign can be kept for years.
