Inside the doors
A church welcome sign on an easel inside the main doors greets visitors before an usher does. Service times for a special season, such as Christmas or Holy Week, go on their own board for a few weeks and then come down, so the permanent sign outside never has to change.
Outreach and events
- Food pantry hours: on an easel by the pantry door on distribution days.
- Thrift shop: the open days and hours, at the shop entrance.
- Donations accepted: what you collect and where it goes, at a drop-off table.
- Thank you to our sponsors: one line per business or family, at a dinner, a walk or an auction.
Kind to a small budget
Foam board is one of the least expensive ways to put a large, clear sign in front of people indoors, and it starts at one sign, so a committee orders exactly what an event needs. Stored flat between uses, a board comes out again next year.
