Menus and specials
A menu board with prices on an easel by the register, or a 24" × 36" specials board by the host stand, is the easiest thing to change when the menu does: print a new board and set the old one aside. Keep the prices large and lined up so they read from the back of the line.
Moving guests through
- Please wait to be seated: at the host stand, so guests do not wander in.
- Order here: at a counter-service cafe, with an arrow to pickup.
- Takeout and curbside: where pickup orders wait, and the number to call.
- Free Wi-Fi: the network and the password, on a small board at the counter.
Keep it in the dining room
Foam board belongs in dry, indoor spots, away from rain, steam and the heat of the kitchen line. For the sidewalk, choose an A-frame; for the window, a styrene sign, which also wipes clean.
