Invite the neighborhood
A service card works best mailed to the streets around the building a week or two before the day. The Christmas Eve design sets the times under a gold star on navy; Christmas Eve falls on Thursday, December 24, 2026. The Easter card has room for a sunrise service and the later worship, and Easter Sunday is March 28, 2027. The harvest potluck invitation carries a garland of fall leaves and "all are welcome", with a map to the fellowship hall on the back.
Fundraisers that sell tickets
- Chicken barbecue and pasta dinner: the date, the price and where to buy tickets.
- Galas: black and gold with a silent auction, a starlight gala in navy, and save the dates to send first, one with a gold laurel on maroon.
- Vacation Bible School: sky blue with a sun, the week, the ages and the hours.
Give each card one way to act. A web address alone is easy to forget; a QR code on the back takes people straight to the form.
Thanking donors and volunteers
One donor card says what the gift made possible under a coral heart; another sets one big number on teal, such as the meals served this winter. Volunteers get a sunburst and "you made a difference". Leave the gift amount off, since a postcard travels unsealed; for a single gift of $250 or more, the IRS expects a written acknowledgment that states the amount, so send that as a letter.
In a time of loss
The sympathy acknowledgment lets a family thank everyone who sent flowers, food or a kind word, with a quiet gray sprig and room on the back for a line by hand.
From the shop: Mail service cards to arrive about a week before the day. Families plan holiday visits early, and a card on the fridge for a week gets read more than once.
