Read from the sidewalk and the parking lot
An A-frame is read by people walking past and cars pulling in, from about 20 to 50 feet. On a 24" × 36" insert the headline runs 4 to 6 inches tall, the offer 2 to 3 inches, and the phone or web address about 2. The frame covers the outer inch of the insert, so the templates keep everything well inside it.
The bottom third of an A-frame sits below an adult's eye line, so the templates put the offer in the top two thirds and save the bottom for an arrow, a logo or the address. A QR code works well in the middle third, at a height people can reach with a phone.
Frames and inserts
- Signicade Deluxe: two 24" × 36" inserts, the classic plastic sidewalk sign that folds flat.
- Signicade MDX: two 24" × 18" inserts set wide, lighter to carry in and out every day.
- Metal A-frame: the black steel real estate style frame, in 24" × 18" or a tall 24" × 36".
Already have a frame? Order the inserts alone. Many shops keep two sets, an everyday sign and a seasonal one, and swap them in a minute.
Both sides, or two messages
An A-frame has two faces. Print the same design on both when people approach from both directions; print two different ones to use each side, for example the daily special facing the sidewalk and "order online" facing the lot.
