Open house signs that lead the way
Set out an A-frame at each turn from the main road, arrow pointing the way, and one at the door. The open house templates put OPEN HOUSE at the top, the day and time next (or a write-on panel so one set serves every weekend), the arrow in the middle third where drivers look, and Your Brokerage as the sample brokerage at the bottom. Yellow is a favorite for open houses because it stands out against lawns and brick.
The listing on a sidewalk
- For sale: agent panel, red band, brokerage column and house drawing layouts.
- Status: sold, just sold, under contract, sale pending, back on the market, just listed, new price.
- Rentals and land: for rent, apartment for rent, new construction, land for sale.
- Luxury: black and white, cream and gold, or a serif on charcoal.
- At the door: a host sign with your photo, name, license and cell, plus model home and now leasing inserts for builders and landlords.
Rules for every sign
New York's 19 NYCRR 175.25 asks signs selling or leasing a property to name the brokerage, and a named agent to carry the license type and a labeled cell phone; every template here does both. Directional signs go on private property with the owner's permission, never on utility poles or in the road. Some towns limit when directionals may go out: East Fishkill allows subdivision weekend directionals only from Friday at noon to Sunday at 8 PM.
