Specials that change daily
The chalkboard templates have the look of a hand-lettered board, dark with white and a script accent, but print clean every time. For a special that changes daily, the write-on version prints a panel you fill in with a chalk marker. Keep a list to three to five items with prices; more than that and nobody reads to the end.
The rest of the menu

- Meals: lunch special, Friday fish fry, wing night, kids eat free, weekend brunch, now serving breakfast, pizza by the slice.
- Takeout: order here, online orders pick up here, takeout call ahead, scan to order with a QR code.
- Seasons: patio now open, ice cream for the season, New Year's Eve party.
Happy hour and hiring
Happy hour boards list days, hours and deals like "$2 off drafts, half-price apps"; State Liquor Authority rules bar "bottomless" or "all you can drink", so those never appear. Hiring A-frames for line cooks, servers and baristas carry the pay, which New York asks employers with four or more employees for when a sign names the job.
