What New York requires on an agent's card
Under 19 NYCRR 175.25(d)(2), a licensee's business card must show the business address of the licensee, the license type, and the name of the real estate broker or brokerage, plus the office telephone number. Any other number is labeled as an alternative, such as "Cell". So every template carries:
- The agent's licensed name: Jane Smith.
- The license type in full: Licensed Real Estate Salesperson, Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker, or Licensed Real Estate Broker. Never "Agent" or "Realtor" alone.
- The brokerage: Your Brokerage.
- The office address and office phone, and a labeled cell.
Teams and photos
A team card uses "team" in the name followed by "at" and the brokerage: "The Smith Team at Your Brokerage". The agent with photo card has a headshot space; upload the original file. Many agents add the Equal Housing Opportunity logo in a corner, which is customary on real estate cards.
The back
Use the back for a QR code to your listings, your headshot, or "Thinking of selling? Call for a free market analysis." Keep the front for the required details, and order enough: agents go through a box of 500 faster than anyone.
