Flags that get reused
A community group buys flags once and uses them for years, so the templates stick to words without dates: CAR WASH, YARD SALE, REGISTER NOW, CHICKEN BBQ. Store them rolled on the pole, and they come out for every car wash the team runs.
At the curb
- Car wash: two flags at the lot entrance and a yard sign with the cause.
- Chicken barbecue: a flag on each road into the firehouse.
- Register now: at the field during games, next to a banner with the details.
- Fireworks tonight: along the route into the park.
Be a good neighbor
Put flags on the property hosting the event, with permission, never on utility poles or in the road. Many towns limit event signs to a few days before and after, so take them in when it is over.
From the shop: Write the group's name on the pole in marker. Flags from several groups end up in the same shed after a town event.
