For towns and villages
- Welcome to town, community day, community cleanup and leaf pickup notices.
- Farmers market: the day, the hours and the season, "Sundays, 9 AM to 1 PM, May to October".
- Events: the parade, the tree lighting, fireworks at dusk, fall fest and the harvest festival.
- A road closure notice for the town to post ahead of an event; the closure itself uses the town's official devices.
For fire companies
Chicken barbecue banners carry the date, the time, "until sold out" and the price; fund drive and open house banners go up on the firehouse, and "volunteers wanted, join us" recruits the next class. Thank you, first responders and blood drive banners round out the set. Department patches go on only when the company supplies them.
Tributes
Memorial Day and Veterans Day banners are solemn: remember and honor, thank you veterans, honoring all who served, in red, white and blue with generic stars rather than branch seals. They carry no sale or event wording. For a town hall or a green, 18 oz vinyl stands up to the season.
