A year of fundraisers
- Spring and summer: the chicken barbecue sold by the dinner, and a Main Street block party with the street closed and a rain date.
- Fall: the festival with hayrides and cider, and a harvest potluck under a garland of leaves.
- Winter: a pasta dinner, or a gala announced months ahead by a save the date in a gold laurel.
- After each one: a thank you that says what the money bought.
Selling tickets from a card
Put the price on the card, and a QR code that goes straight to the ticket page, not the home page. For a dinner, say whether it is eat in or takeout and when pickup runs. Many groups print more than they mail and leave the rest with the library, the town hall and the diner by the register.
Thanks that bring people back
Donors like to see results: one design sets a single number big on teal, such as meals served this winter. Volunteers get a sunburst and "you made a difference". After the gala, gold on black thanks the guests and sponsors and tells them what the evening raised.
From the shop: Ask the diner, the library and the hardware store before you drop off a stack. A shop that agreed to hold your cards keeps them by the register.
