Four sizes, and what they cost to mail
- 4" × 6": qualifies for postcard postage at every mail price, stamped or presorted.
- 8.5" × 5.5": twice the room for a photo and an offer. It gets postcard prices only when mailed presorted; stamped at the counter, it pays the letter rate.
- 5" × 7" and A2 (4.25" × 5.5"): the invitation and note card sizes. They go in an envelope, so the whole back is yours.
Every size lies wide or stands tall at the same price, and prints in full color on 14 point card.
The mailing side
If a card is mailed, the right side of the back belongs to the Postal Service: at least 2-1/8 inches for the address, the stamp or permit indicia in the top right corner, and a clear strip along the bottom right for the barcode. The mailing backs keep your message, a QR code and the expiration date on the left half, and leave the rest clear; the designer will not let anything drift into the address area.
Mail them, or hand them out
Postcards are printed in the business days the designer shows for your size, paper and quantity, counted from when you approve the proof, and the designer gives one date: the day they are ready to pick up free in Hopewell Junction or ship straight to you. Rush printing prints most cards the next business day, with no separate proof. Mail them yourself, hand them out at the counter, or let us handle the mailing: we print, address and take them to the post office.
