Keep customers close
A thank you card after a first order, a customer appreciation night in the spring, and a holiday card in December: three cards a year keep a business in mind better than any number of emails. Keep them warm and short, with your logo and a signature. The order thank yous tuck into the bag or the box; the office card is signed by the whole team.
When something changes
- We've moved: the new address in full, a map or a landmark, and the date you open there.
- Grand opening: the date, the time and an opening-day reason to come, with the ribbon cutting on the back.
- Open house: a new office or a new showroom, with tours, refreshments and a map on the back.
Parties and milestones
A save the date with a navy date tile and your logo for a company anniversary, a holiday party in deep green and gold, an ugly sweater party for a team that likes to laugh, and a retirement send-off with a sunrise or a mountain range for the person everyone will miss.
The mailing back
Every postcard front can pair with a mailing back: your message on the left, the address, postage and barcode areas kept clear on the right, as the Postal Service asks. A return address in the top left corner is customary and required if you use an endorsement such as "Return Service Requested".
From the shop: Keep your customer list in a spreadsheet with a column for the date of the last visit. It makes "we miss you" cards easy to send.
