Parties at home
- Kids: a pool party with a scalloped water line, a circus big top in red and white stripes, and a pink card with the age in a big yellow circle.
- Grown-up birthdays: cheers to 40 years in gold on black, or a navy and gold milestone with the age set huge.
- Showers: a drawn sprout for a baby shower, brunch and bubbly in white script for a bride, and softer cards in sky blue and in cream and pink.
- Graduation and retirement: the class year huge in school green, the graduate's photo on navy, and a send-off with navy mountains and an orange sun.
For businesses
A grand opening card with a red sash across the top and your logo under it, a ribbon cutting for the chamber, an open house for a new office, a customer appreciation night, and two holiday parties: dinner and dancing in deep green and gold, and an ugly sweater party with knit bands of red diamonds. Put the day and the reason to come on the front, and leave parking and replies to the back.
Church, school and neighborhood
A harvest potluck under a garland of fall leaves, a spring concert with notes on a musical staff, a Main Street block party with its rain date, and a starlight gala. Fire companies and pantries will also find a pasta dinner, a chicken barbecue and a harvest gala.
The back does the explaining
The newer designs come with a back laid out for the details: the day and the time, a little street map with a pin, one line on where to park or which door to use, and how to reply. A 5" × 7" or A2 card goes in an envelope, so the whole back is yours; on a 4" × 6" postcard the address side stays clear.
From the shop: Put a reply date on the card, a week before you need the count. Without one, most people answer the day before.
