Political and campaign yard sign templates

Campaign signs have to win a two-second glance from a moving car, so these 44 designs put the last name biggest, the office right under it, and a short message after. Every one carries a "Paid for by" line, and there are nonpartisan vote here and early voting signs for polling sites.

44 political yard sign templates

Every one opens in the designer ready to edit: your words, your colors, your logo.

Built for the ballot you are on

There are layouts for town clerk, village mayor, highway superintendent, county legislature, sheriff, judge and State Assembly, with room for a ballot row or party line where your county uses one. Re-elect, slate and thank you voters signs follow the same style, so a campaign's signs match from the primary to the day after.

For ballot questions there are vote yes and vote no designs, one drawn as a marked ballot, and for school budgets both a PTA "vote yes" sign and a neutral district notice. Styles run from classic red, white and blue to a modern minimal sign, a retro ribbon, a serif for the bench and a calendar page for get out the vote.

The paid-for line and other rules

New York Election Law 14-106 asks political communications to say who paid for them, in the form "Paid for by" and the committee's name. A yard sign carrying only a name, an office and a brief message can be exempt as a promotional item, but the templates include the line anyway because a longer message removes the exemption. Groups not working with a candidate add that the sign was not authorized by any candidate. Federal races need a boxed disclaimer; the Congress template has one.

A school district paying for budget vote signs may give the date and hours, not urge a result. A parent group paying with its own money may.

Timing and placement

The general election is Tuesday, November 3, 2026, with early voting from Saturday, October 24 through Sunday, November 1. Put signs on private property with the owner's permission, keep them out of the road right-of-way and off utility poles, and stay back from polling places while the polls are open. Towns set their own removal deadlines: three days after the election in the Town of Fishkill, ten days in East Fishkill.

Does a campaign yard sign need "Paid for by"?

Often yes. Under Election Law 14-106 a sign limited to the name, office and a brief message of support can be exempt, but anything more needs the line. Every template includes it; keep it unless you are sure your sign qualifies.

How many campaign signs should I order?

Most local campaigns order 50 to 250 lawn signs. The price per sign drops as the quantity goes up; the designer shows each price.

When do campaign signs have to come down?

It depends on the town. The Town of Fishkill asks for removal within three days after the election, East Fishkill within ten. Check with your town clerk.
