What patients look for
The practice name, what you offer in a few words, and how to reach you. "Now accepting new patients" and "walk-ins welcome" are the lines that change a driver's plans, so they get the biggest type. An insurance line that stays true for everyone reads "Most major insurance accepted. Call to confirm your plan."
Advertising rules for licensed professions
New York regulates what licensed health professionals may claim. Under 8 NYCRR 29.1, dentists, physical therapists, chiropractors, optometrists, pharmacists and others may not advertise unprovable superiority or guaranteed results, so the templates never say "best" or "painless". A price special, such as a new patient exam, needs the period it runs and any additional charges, which is why the new patient special carries an "offer ends" line.
Urgent care designs use your brand blue rather than a red cross, whose use is restricted by federal law, and add "for emergencies, call 911".
Sizes and places
24" × 18" signs work at the road for flu shot season, September to November, and for a new location. For patient parking and the office hours at the door, an aluminum sign lasts longer; for the lobby, a banner stand.
From the shop: Flu season signs work best from mid September. Put the words "walk-ins welcome" on the sign only if the front desk is ready for them.
