A banner for each season
- February and March: now booking, spring cleanups, mowing and mulch, with the phone number as the biggest line after the headline.
- September: fall cleanups, leaves, gutters and aeration, in orange and white.
- November: holiday lighting installs, then snow removal and plowing sign-ups.
- All season: mulch for sale by the cubic yard, and landscape crew hiring with the pay.
Keep the service list to three. A driver reads three words; the rest is for the phone call.
Where to hang it
A 3 × 6 ft banner on the fence at your yard, or on a customer's fence with their permission during a big job. Mulch and topsoil banners at a supply yard should state the unit, "$35 a cubic yard", so the price is clear. On an open fence use mesh, which the wind passes through.
The details that matter
Westchester and Nassau count landscaping as home improvement, so a license number belongs on your banners if you work there. Pesticide notices are not a banner job: the commercial lawn application marker has a required size, color and wording, and there is a template for it on our yard sign page.
From the shop: Roll banners, do not fold them, when the season ends; a folded banner keeps its creases. Store the roll somewhere dry until next spring.
