The messages that bring patients in
- Now accepting new patients: the most useful banner a practice can hang, with the specialty and the phone.
- Flu shots, walk-ins welcome and vaccines available, for September through November.
- Urgent care hours: open 7 days, 8 AM to 8 PM, and "for emergencies, call 911".
- New patient special and join now for fitness, each with the date the offer ends.
What New York allows a practice to say
Licensed health professions in New York may not advertise unprovable superiority or guarantee results (8 NYCRR 29.1), so the templates avoid "best", "#1" and "painless". A price for a routine service states the period it applies and any additional charges. List only the vaccines you give and the insurance you have confirmed; "most major insurance accepted, call to confirm your plan" is always accurate.
Size and material
A 3 × 8 ft banner on the building front reads from the road; a 2 × 4 ft suits a pharmacy window or a lobby wall. For inside a lobby, a banner stand stands on its own; the same messages are on our banner stand templates. Urgent care designs use your brand blue rather than a red cross, which federal law restricts.
From the shop: For a new location, hang a "now accepting new patients" banner a month before opening, with the opening date on it. The phones start ringing before the doors open.
