Menus that stay on the fridge
The takeout menu card is the EDDM piece restaurants reorder most. Put your best sellers and prices on one side with the phone number huge, and the address, hours, delivery area and an order online QR code on the mailing side. An 8.5" × 11" card holds a real menu; 6" × 11" holds the favorites.
Offers that bring people in
- Coupon: "$5 off $25", with an expiration date and "one per table".
- Grand opening and now open, first coffee free for a new spot.
- New on the menu: a photo and a reason to come back.
- Catering menu: packages and prices, mailed to offices and homes before the holidays.
Picking the routes
Start with the routes closest to you: people order takeout from places within a few miles. Mail the same routes a few times through the year rather than a wide area once. Drink offers follow State Liquor Authority rules; "bottomless" and "all you can drink" are not allowed.
From the shop: Put a code on the coupon ("mention EDDM") so you can count how many came from the mailing and decide which routes to mail again.
